2002 Toyota Echo QuestionsRefine by vehicle
There is low air coming out of the vents.
Would also like to know if I can add a concentrated gas treatment for carburetors and injectors
It started when I slowed for construction and when I went to accelerate I could here this occasional knock. As i accelerated it increased so I pulled over and tried to find the problem. When I began to drive again I didn't here it.
My Echo engine has been very quiet since I got it, but about a month ago very occasionally it would sound like an old dump truck or tractor for just a second or two and then the sound would disappear. I thought I was hearing things at first or actually hearing a vehicle next to me. Then the sound lasted longer and longer. Now I hear the sound about 10 -20 % of the time the car is runnning, mostly when we are idleing at a light or just starting to accelerate. Any ideas what it might be. I'm taking it to a mechanic this week and I want to have an idea what to expect. JD
It feels like some kind of cable snapped. I'm afraid to take it to the dealer because they will find all kinds of things wrong with it. It has 66,000 miles on it.
several months ago, a service light came on. it is on the right side and is yellow. Also, the icon looks like a manifold(?) or the place where one would put oil. I checked fluids, was low on coolant, filled it. I disconnected the battery but a few days later the light came on again. Also, i believe it happened around the time the odometer turned to 60,000 miles (is this why?)
I suspect I got dirty fuel and my check engine light came on I want to replace the fuel filter but i can't seem to find it.
I cant find my cd player
My 2002 Echo car to add up engine oil every month, so do i need to repair and overhaul engine or any other solution
I'm already on 125,000 miles so I'm just wondering what type of maintenance should I be doing besides oil changes, tune ups, etc. Maybe changing the timing belt?
WHAT DOES THIS CODE MEAN AND HOW DO I FIX A 2002 Echo Shift Solinoid E malfunction
how to remove calipers need to replace two wheel studs on the front pass side
Got a P1349 the other day when my check engine light came on. It suggested that I was experiencing a VVT malfunction. The OBD code reader lists two probable causes- open or short circuit condition or poor electrical connection. Symptoms include, loss of power, missfire/pinging and this is intermittent. What are common/most likely solutions for this make and model?
In weather, say 30F. and below, my starter whirls upon starting up. Thereafter, the noise is no longer heard even if it is cold temps.
Everytime I turn the air on and I am coming to a stop, my car makes a loud squeal. When I accelerate it gets worse, and then goes away. Sometimes I can rev my engine to get it to stop too. The only thing that doesn't really make sense is that the noise sometimes happenes when the air is off and I am starting my car. ALSO sometimes my car won't start at all, it acts like it is going to start, and the cuts off. Usually if I hold my foot on the gas pedle when starting it, it will turn over... but this usually takes several tries.... PLEASE HELP.
