Should I use Denso Iridium spark plugs or the factory Motorcraft plugs?

Hello, I'm getting ready to install new spark plugs in my 2006 Ford F-150 4.6L. The factory recommends a gap of .054-.056. The Denso Iridium plugs I'm going to install have a gap of .044. Should I delicately re-gap them to factory specs or will they be fine without causing internal engine issues? Thanks
