Rear Brakes Drag, Make Rhythmic Sound on Ford Flex

Misaligned or corroded caliper anchor brackets can cause the rear brakes to drag, and make a rhythmic sound. The rear caliper anchor brackets and brake pads should be replaced.

My Flex has experienced a squeaking sound at the rear of the car. have had it in three times. dealership cannot find issue. Last time they said the rear brakes are 3/4 worn and that this is most likely the issue. If the brakes have life left on them why would this be a problem.
