Driver side window will not reset for pinch protection; will not stop at closed position.

Problem is not consistent (as with all my electronic issues on my car). Happens occasionally when holding power window button when auto - up failure or at end of convertible top closure when it is closing windows.

Same issue as everyone else. It goes up than auto comes back down and wont close. Have to just raise slowly but not all the way or else it comes back down. I have been to the dealer about a gazillion times for this with no resolution. I thought it was just me! I mentioned some people override this, how do you override this feature?

It started with my sunroof, closing then reopening, was told it was the "pincher sensor, replaced, did not fix problem, lived with this by just using the over-ride button. Then passenger window started this, I just ignored and continued to use the override button, lived with this problem for a year, then one morning got into my car and turning signals worked extremely slow and I had no radio system. Took to shop, was told to replace some sort of module that is located under front driver seat, to the cost of $900 for used part, hey now all systems work ie: sunroof, passenger window, stereo system, blinkers. So it all started with sunroof, then passenger windows, took over a year for other malfunctions related to this "module" of some sort

if you get the window to hit the top and you hit the window button again to stop it then turn off the car it usually stops doing it after a few time of that...the driver's side window on mine usually only does that after it rains, had the dealership look at it, they reset whatever it was and it started operating normally again...if you try to open the window when it's frozen to the weather stripping (really cold outside, water/snow frozen between the weather stripping and the window) the sensor can get messed up again, make sure you thaw all your windows before attempting to open them in cold weather...
