I was told my brake pads are shifting because I made need shims.
My 2001 Nissan Maxima ran great until today got into car to take uncle the hospital when I shifted into drive it shift and normal pulling out of my driveway I noticed that it seems sluggish like it wasn't getting any power I was trying to roll the passenger side window up but it was very slow so I stopped at the stop sign put car into gear pulled the window then I tried to shift car back into drive it would not shift at all turned the car off then tried 2 crank it again the battery which is new was dead we jump the car . I pushed the lock button located next to the gear shifter and it shifted I immediately turned the car around to go home which is less than a quarter-mile away did not make it even 200 yards car started cutting out the gauges on the dash all stopped working and the car died again got another job and went the rest the way home turn the car off try to crank it again nothing the battery was dead again after jumping off again and noticed that the radiator fan was trying to come on but would not and battery died again has anyone had the same problem with a 2001 Nissan Maxima please help I need it to take my 69 year old Uncle who is very ill to the hospital tomorrow morning this has never happened before I've had the car for 2 months and it has been perfect almost like a new car except for one problem the brake lights stay on all the time even when you turn the ignition off so we pull the fuse out each time park the car then we're ready to leave with put the fuse back in because the car will not shift without the Fuse

Checked all fuses. Figured problem was in switch that turns the dash lights on or light itself is burned out.
I use to be able to hit the blower motor and make it work but not anymore. If I move the wiring, it comes on but not for long.
Whan driving, if the rpm goes over about 2 1/2 (sometimes just at 2) the car stops accelerating and won't go over 15 mph, the rpms just keep going up. I usually have to pull over and turn off the car to let it cool down (i live in south florida). Sometimes that doesn't even do the trick and i have to get to point b at turtle speeds. I know the ac is messed up and not cooling, could that be related? When the problem occurs i can hear a hollow whirring sound coming from the car and most recently, a rattle. My dad changed one of the sensors on the pistons and I'm back to square one. Please help, I'm about to junk this damn car.
ok so i replace the brakes and rotors and the hub bearing on the passenger side i put everything back togther and drive it down the road and it hops like a low rider going down the road any advice thanks.
Air or heat won't blow out of ventts inside car
The seats won't slide back and forth but they will adjust up and down is this a sensor issue or something greater. Please help!!!!

I've been told it's my timing chain but I'm not really sure.Because prior to my tune up and oil change my car was running fine.But it didn't start making the loud noise immediately after maintenance it started a few days afterwards.First,when I push the accelerator it wouldn't go pass 40 mph then my car suddenly shuts off then all the sensors on my dash board comes on.Then I was driving my car and my battery goes dead without notice I got a jump off then it started back doing the same thing goes off and before I reached my destination my battery went dead all over again.Then that's when the problem came along with my car sounding like a chain saw.By the way I had my car put on a machine prior to the oil change and tune up and it was reading it needed an O2 sensor.After I received the low maintenance done it said I had a misfire on the 5th spark plug which also wasn't taken out and replaced with a new spark plug on the account of being stuck in the hole.I really hopes this helps finding a solution to my problem Thanks
Any ideas what it might be? We are super low income, I will be fixing it myself. I plan on cleaning and checking the throttle cable and cruise control cable to make sure they are intact and no fraying. Gonna try and see if I can find the actual Iac valve and TB and clean those. I also want to try and see if I can find the accelerator pedal sensor, Its very hard to find pictures of what everything likes like and how to find them, Can anyone point me into the correct free lol directiont please?
