Have replaced battery, alternator, timing belt and disconnecting elect.comp.one at a time. Any ideas please? Back windows stuck in upright position also. When the car is turned off it is dead. Thanks
Step by step how to remove and replace water pump and the timing belt.
Transmission shifts fine until check engine light comes on then will not shift into high or low. It stays in the gear that it is in at that time. Might run for a mile or 10 miles before it does it.
I would like to replace the above valve to repair the problem due to the code above
New Belt was installed not too long ago and it sqraks alot. Also, I am getting an intermitting clunking type tapping noise around the same area. What causes this to happen? Can't figure out why it is sqeaking and now clunking tapping like noise happens? Can anyone advise if they have had the same happen to them or if they know of what causes this? Thanks in advance..
car was driving fine went to shift into 2nd when i heard something metal hit the ground lots of smoke and car wont start anymore,lots of fluid on the street and no oil left in engine i can see the oil filter when i look under any ideas?
replaced manuel engine with japanese manuel engine. Had wireing problem. Repair shop did extensive changes to get car running. Car worked ok, but did not have same power (no whistling sound from turbocharger) as before. While driving recently, car started to stall out when foot not on gas pedal. Now car top speed (5th gear) 50-55mph..sluggish, and gas consumption has gone from approx 30mpg...to approx 9mpg. Failed emissions, code 1105 (vacuum hose, fuel solenoid, wireing problem), my research indcates its not the fuel solenoid...please advise
engine replacement has been suggested by mechanic. What is the average cost of engine replacement for eclipse. Code is P0 442. This code says evap. system leak.
I tripped a bunch of codes on the OBD P0301-P0304 ALL CYLINDERS MISFIRED AND THE IAC TRIPPED AS WELL. On my way to work earlier i noticed that when in neutral the car began reving extremely high on its own and i had to shift into 4th to bring it down then when in neutral moments later it did it again. when i got out of work the car would not start and when it did would not hold idle i had to give it constant gas. i have already replaced the IAC and it idles now but it also SKYROCKETS to 4k-5k while idling and i have to turn the engine off
When driving my car for an long period of time the CHECK ENGINE light will come on. The car will continue running fine while constant throttle is given. as soon as it sits in idle the RPM's begin to drop and the lights begin to dim until it shuts off. Most of the time the car will start right back up.
Also when starting the car all the electircal goes out i pull the key out and try it again and it will start up.
where should i start looking for a problem?
when i start my car it starts making a really bad noise but then when i push in the clutch it stops. Any ideas thx? I think its comming from one of the belts anyway anything will help thx.
engines knocks when cold started, then slighty disapates when warmed up, but doesnt go away?

My A/C just stopped working one day. It was working fine, then it got really, really cold and then just stopped shooting out cold air all together. I tried just replacing the fuse but when I put a new one in and start my car it blows the fuse immediately. Only hot air will come out...what could it be?? Is it the compressor??
