2005 Cadillac SRX - 4.6L V8 100,000 mi,
I'm losing about a cup of coolant every 4-6 weeks. I cant find any external leak, but I can smell it on occasion.
2008 Cadillac SRX - 3.6L V6 123,000 mi,
Loss of coolant and occasional smell of coolant. Also just noticed a leak coming from behind drivers side tire but can't tell where its coming from . Having a pressure test done asa. Oh and just started idling funny when first started. I just purchased this car a month ago so please don't tell me something major is wrong!?
2009 Cadillac SRX - 3.6L V6 85,000 mi,
My srx loses coolant at a rate of about 4-6oz every 2wks to a month.I have had all types of testing done, and no one has been able to find the leak, internal or external. I have no lights on and have never over heated. I have been told that it could be a head gasket, but i had the test for combustion and pressure done both negative.
Started noticing wet spots inunter center of vehicle. When inspected saw tube so I figured it was drain from AC. Now it is winter and have huge amounts of fluid coming from passenger side. Looked at resivior and it was EMPTY.
2004 Cadillac SRX - 3.6L V6 110,000 mi,
Can not find a leak, can also smell it now and then.
2005 Cadillac SRX - 4.6L V8 99,000 mi,
need to add coolant every month
2005 Cadillac SRX - 4.6L V8 156,000 mi,
I must put coolant into my car at least 2 times a month. I have replaced the radiator, the hoses and the reservoir, and it still wastes coolant really fast. Everytime i drive my car, it smells like burnt coolant, and there is no leak whatsoever.
Every other month I have to add coolant...
2006 Cadillac SRX - 3.6L V6 100,000 mi,
I have also been experiencing the issue of low coolant with my SRX. I have on quite a few different occasions noticed that I smelled coolant and checked to see I could see any leaks, but I was unable to see anything. I live on a hill and as I stopped and began backing in my driveway today I noticed a strong coolant odor. When I got out to check the vehicle it now appears there is a leak coming from somewhere under the car. When I turned the car off, the dripping stopped. My next stop is to the repair shop. (Keeping my fingers crossed that it is not a pricey repair...)
