these are not GUESSES. if the car sat for that long period of time the gaskets dry out and all of them need to be replaced. so master mechanic don't say that the it,s a shops fault.

One year is not that long, Rubber seals that are designed to be exposed to fluids continuously (example,rear main seals) tend to dry up but such things as intake gaskets, head gaskets and water pump gaskets usually only fail with time or engine overheating damage.
