What is your question?
I have a 1991 Chevrolet Caprice with 5.0 liter V-8 which has recently developed a hard starting problem, you have to crank the engine more than usual before it will start and it surges when idling after it starts and hesitates badly when trying to accelerate. Engine has been tuned recently, new spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, rotor, fuel and air filters. Engine runs excellent after it warms up. I found that it would start instantly with the coolant temperature sensor unplugged so I replaced that sensor and it made no difference. I suspect the throttle position sensor may be bad but I'd like some more info before i replace anything else. the car has 130,000 miles on it, and is in excellent, well-maintained condition. Any ideas ?
Nothing wrong with the fuel pump, just that I'm not getting a rich enough fuel mixture on cold starts.
