I have had my car since new, and the alarm was factory installed. Sometimes it just goes off for no apparent reason, and now, even when it is not set, it is still going off randomly. Would this be easy to fix? Any suggestions on what I should be looking for? Or since the alarm is so old, should I just get a new alarm instead? Will a new alarm be able to be set up the same way, where the engine cannot be started without the remote being used. Thanks!

I just did a complete tune up, new battery, new starter. All I get with the key is a click. The ignition recall was already changed by Ford dealer. The car sat all winter and I had noticed it once when I went to start it in the winter. Thought it was the starter but I guess not Could be the clutch switch I don't know.

When I drive my mustang sometimes after driving for a while and shutting it off for a short time, it will not start and stay running. It will crank over, but sounds like the engine is starving for gas. It will not stay running, sometimes waiting for 30 minutes or more before it will start again. Today it died out on me while I was driving down the road. I pulled over and waited for a while then started and it ran about a block and died. Usually this problem only happens after I shut it off. I checked the fuel pressure at the valve on the gas line and it sprayed out. I then tried to start the car and it started and ran fine.I have already replaced the TFI on the distributor. The car is not overheating whenever this happens, but the summers here in vegas, the temp is usually around 100 degrees. Also whenever the car will not stay running, and when I try to start it I always hear the fuel pump running.Any ideas?

transmission wines through first, second, third, and fifth gear, and when clutch is not pressed; transmission noise is present, and the only gear it does' not wine in is fourth! also, we put a $250 rebuil;t kit in engine; this did not seem to help. the only thing the rebuilt did was make the shifts tighter! any, help on this matter would greatly be appreaciated! ty!

recently changed engine from 2.3L to 5.0 in my 92 ford mustang and now I have the check engine and air bag light flashing. When I first start the car it is off, after a minute it begins flashing, the car sounds and feel fine while driving. There seems to be no other problems. I have heard that it could be a module, but how true is this. I am looking for specific things to check for without having to remove this engine and starting from scratch. Any suggestions, thank you?
