Customer Concern: Has an engine noise during deceleration of engine. Sounds like the timing chain hitting the cover. Can duplicate the noise by revving the motor and releasing the throttle.
Tests/Procedures: 1. Check the oil quality and level. 5w30 is the recommended viscosity.
2. This will require disassembly of the engine to inspect the timing chain guides for wear. If the chain guides look good the tensioned could be faulty.
