Car feels like engine is cutting out but it is only momentary and it never quits running . It is just annoying. Could this be a fuel line problem? It occurs often at times and then less often at other times. Love the car. would like to get it fixed .
My car was a little on the warm side where when the fans come on they stayed on. I changed the thermostat and now my car really over heats. My mechanic says it could be that the water pump is not spinning properly so it is pushing air through the coolant box making it bubble. How do I know if he is correct, I have already paid him to purge the lines which has a large amount of air in it when purging. How do I pin point what it is because a lot of people that own these cars say they have replaced everything and their cars are still over heating. Please someone have the answer
I have a 2000 Chrysler LHS. I have had nothing but problems after problem since I bought it. The problem I'm having now is the shifter is stuck in the "L" position. I was simply trying to back out of a parking spot and the shifter seemed to be stuck . I wiggled it and it went all the way to "L" and now I can't get it back up to "N" or "P" to start it. I've taken everything off from around the shifter and it appears that the cable was detached from the shifter. When I attempted to put the shifter back on I noticed that the cable will not budge. It is stuck. How much will this cost to fix? And what needs to be done to fix it?
but when I use cruise control it not whine.
Only when driving on the highway (speeds above 65) do I encounter this problem. It is random and unpredictable. It is TERRIFYING cause when it occurs, I think the wheel is about to wobble off completely and I crash. It occurs to frequently to be ignored. How can I rule out and/or pin point the exact problem? The need to have tires balanced? An alignment? Tie rods? Rack and pinion issues?
This occurs throughout the drive despite the speed. Its really loose and if both hands are on steering wheel (9 to 3 position on clock), I can turn the wheel almost 12 to 6 in either direction without the tire/wheel actually moving.
There are no signs of leaks. There is plenty of coolant and oil. Please help
the check engine light just came on randomly. I forgot to get an oil change, but I added new oil. When it is still it bounces, and I can't go over 40mph without it running like there's air in the system, it's skipping a beat sort of speak (it's not smooth). At night we looked at the engine, and one of the wires that connects to the top of the engine is sparking, it looks like the wire is loose. Could this be the problem as to why my check engine light is on? And can this be fixed? Is it expensive? I also noticed that I do not have any coolant? I'm sure that is a problem. I go for regular oil changes and no one has mentioned that to me before. My air conditioning doesn't work and they said I need a new compressor which will run me $700. My defroster doesn't seem to work well either when it rains and it is very warm outside. Are these all going to run me into the ground financially, and if so, is it worth it? I also need new headlights because mine are terrible. I can't see 4 ft. in front of me.
