On vehicles equipped with V6 engines, the Check Engine Light may illuminate and code P0339 is stored for intermittent loss of the crankshaft position sensor signal. Our technicians tell us that adding a shim to the crankshaft sensor will commonly correct this issue but in some cases the flex plate may require replacement.

Died while driving on the highway. Check engine light came on. Restarted and drove ok for 3 miles to an exit. Dx test showed crankshaft position sensor code. Car then wouldn't start. Had it towed. Still not fixed!
2012 dodge jounery won't start... I was told I need about 1000 dollars worth of work done and not sure if it would last...
It is not fixed; I cannot find the sensor. Every other site I look at shows a different location for it.
Multiple codes, mechanic reprogrammed crankshaft sensor. This lasted less than a week. I will have to trim the shim next.
