I had to replace my Mass Air Flow Sensor on my 2001 chevy prizm (toyota engine). For $80 bucks at Kragen and a easy install by myself and my sister (we watched a video on youtube on how to fix it) it worked! the check engine light went off and has been off ever since! But before you buy a ne part, try carb cleaner and give it a good rub off. Sometimes that works. But my C.E.L was on for about 2 years so it didnt work for mine. But 90% of the time it is this problem with our make so I recommend trying! :)

The car was slow to start and slow to go in the mornings. The mass air flow sensor was replaced, and now it runs great.
