All wheel drive vehicles may develop a whining noise or vibration from the transfer case while making slow left or right turns. Our technicians suggest replacing the "electronic controlled coupling" within the transfer case and not the entire unit to correct this concern

Transfercase has The problem a second time at 29000 and previously at 16000. The symptoms are similar to a 1980 pick up trying to turn sharply at low speeds with the hubs locked in. The turn is not smooth, rather the tire jump noticeably on the turn. Both times the infinity dealer has replaced it under warrenty. This time they asked about towing. I tow a 2300 lb trailer twice a year to the boat launch and back. In the last replacement time period, i had not towed any trailer at all.
