A whine type noise may develop from the power steering pump. Our technicians tell us a revised pump and powertrain control module (PCM) software update are available to correct this concern. Additional, an updated power steering reservoir is available for some models.

I purchased a 2010 Dodge Journey brand new and have had nothing but problems. Not only have I had to replace all 4 tires and have a front & rear-end alignment at 20,000 miles, but now my car is making a whine type noise when I'm driving. I brought it to my local Dodge dealership and they determined that the noise was being cause by the power steering pump, but since it was still serving it's purpose the factory and/or extended warranties would not cover the replacement. Very aggervating. Not sure I will ever buy another Dodge!
