now check engine light is on and stays on
The dealer has said two need to be replaced, and it will cost a total of $750. Just got done replacing the heater core.
Repair pal screen says yes, but my dealer service advisor says no. He claims it is direct flow to the heater core, and there is no heater control valve.
We added brake fluid but it does not seem to be getting into the actual Reservoir tank. We poured it into the top but it does not go down into the Reservoir tank, it just sits in the spout where you fill it
and yesterday while driving oil pressure light came on for a few seconds ?
WHAT IS THE PROBLEM
tubes, flex-pipe and cat are all together as one integral part. does that mean it is a failure of the the cat system and consequently covered by warranty? VW estimates repair cost $ 1o95.95 and said'no warranty'because the'check engine
light' is not on.
I have a Freon leak that they say is at the nozzle to the evaporator. Dealer wants to charge me 1850.00 to replace the evaporator...Can't they just solder the leak?
On my afternoon drives home, only during the summer, my power steering goes out and in. when the weather is cool outside it always works no problem. Any help?

Local dealer is quoting me 685.00 to replace my coolant flange.
My Wife's Passat quit providing heat to the passenger compartment. All contol panel functions seem to function, the engine temperture gauge is at a steady 190 degrees and the coolant level is up to minimunm in the reservoir. I am guessing a heater control valve is the next likely culprit. The vehicle has 75,000 miles and all other interior electronics appear to be operational. Question: Is this a dealer required service or can a independent shop diagnosis and make the necessary repairs? I no longer have the time and tools to work on this car?
My '04 Passat has been hesitating and pulling to the left in and around 60 mph. The car will bog down, the yellow "!" will light up and the car will pull to the left. This problem started to happen after I had the CV joints replaced and may be a traction control sensor issue. I have brought this car in to my local VW dealer twice now and another local mechanic to no avail. Can anyone help?!?!?!?
