Harsh Transmission Downshift may be Corrected by TCM Software Update on Dodge Grand Caravan

I have the same problem when downshifting. Between 4th and 3rd you get a harsh shift. I have been told to flush the trans fluid and get the PCM / TCM reflashed to see if that corrects the problem. I flushed the trans no luck. I now have to pay a dealer 120.00 to reflash the software to see if that saves me from rebuilding the trans @ 1500.00.
