Goes into gear then will not switch gears... Starts rolling... Will not go at all when in any gear... Turn engine off, start it back up and it will go and might switch into 2nd and sometimes 3rd but then starts rolling again. Not fixed yet but I
hope someone knows what to do.
Just happened today, compl;etely out of the blue. No warnings, just won't move in Drive or 3rd. slow rolls in 1 and 2nd. Taking it in to see what's going on, but 89k is way to young for a tranny rebuild.
It started jerking as it shifted gears. I took it to the dealership. They said their mechanic who fixed transmissions quit his job so they took it to a transmission shop far away from where I lived. They said they replaced the transmission. I got it back and it did the exact same thing with the new transmission.
THE TRANSMISSION THUMPS AND WHINES WHEN IT SHIFTS INTO GEAR, IT HAS DONE THIS A COUPLE TIMES A YR, FOR THE LAST 2 YRS. I PUT SEAFOAM IN AND IT HELPED, BUT NOW I THINK THE TOURQUE CONVERTER IS GOING OUT TOO. I HAVE OWNED THIS MONTANA FOR ALMOST 7 YRS. BEEN A GOOD CAR OTHERWISE.
