does not want to engage into reverse or 1st gear after getting into reverse. hesitates then jerks into gear and sometimes jerks out and back in. Tried using Lucas Transmission FIx, not sure if will work or not, hopefully it will.
Slips out of gear, usually between reverse and drive first start up of the day or after not running for a few hours.
My car is a dodge neon sxt 2.0 2004 automatic. My shifting cable broke twice and had it replaced... but even before that, every time I back up and go into drive, in first gear before it can shift, it slips out (like it fell into neutral?) And jerks back into drive and will do it about two to four times and stop.... it's like clockwork, it ONLY happens right after I reverse and then go into drive.... i wish I knew what the problem was. :(
