car was sitting idle for about 15min at a shell station while waiting for a passenger. While backing out of the parking, the car suddenly and quickly shut down. no lights on dash no power to radio ,windows, seats ,door locks , seat belts nor beeps to indicate the key in the ignition. The only equipment recieving power is :h/lights,t/tail lights, horn and door ajar light on all doors;its as if the car is not recognizing the key. The key enters the ignition with ease and cycles through every position with no binding.

Happens in stop and go traffic on city streets and freeway. Other gears are fine.

Its to old to use the vin # so I need to find out how to get the code for a new key. there are 2 / 4 digit #s on the origonal key but I'm told its a 5 digit # I need ... Thanx a lot...

was working great then all of a sudden stopped blowing normal and only blew slightly , cold, but like a whisper

I have removed the surrounding panels, as well as the rubber and plastic casing around the front of the lock. The key will not turn at all and I can't find a tab or anything that will release the cylinder.

my overdrive light blinks on when in overdrive only is there a problem? bease

I OWN A 89 TOYOTA CRESSIDA WITH OVER 200,000 MILES ON HER,I'VE HAD THE USUAL PROBLEMS THAT COMES ALONG WITH A CAR WITH THIS TYPE OF AGE BUT NONE OF THE MAJOR STUFF [MAY BE ON THE WAY]LIKE HEADGASKETS,RECENTLY WHILE DRIVING, MY LOWER RADIATOR HOSE, THAT COMES FROM THE ENGINE,IN BETWEEN THE WATER PUMP AND SLIGHTLY BETWEEN THE DISTRIBUTOR, BURST,I DID'NT PAY ATTENTION TO THE EXTRA WATER ON THE GROUND WHEN FILLING THE RADIATOR UP JUST THOUGHT SHE WAS RUNNING DRY,DICIDED TO CHECK IT IN THE MORNING,IN THE MORNING WATER GONE AGAIN SO I FOUND THE HOSE AND WENT TO WORK,NOW I HAD TO GET TO THE AND IN THE PROCESS HAD TO REMOVE A COUPLE OF THINGS,I FELT THAT IT WOULD BE BEST IF I TOOK OUT THE DISTRIBUTOR FROM THE ENGINE BLOCK,ONCE I PULLED IT OUT I SEEN THAT I DID'NT KNOW A THING ABOUT THE LITTLE SPROCKET THAT I SEEN SO I DECIDED TO PUT THAT BACK THINKING THAT NO HARM WAS DONE SINCE I DID'NT REMOVE IT ALL THE WAY,NOW AFTER PUTTING THE HOSE ON AND PUTTING EVERYTHING BACK I WENT TO START THE CAR,LO AND BEHOLD SHE WOULD'NT TURN OVER,A FEW DAYS LATER AND AFTER GETTING SO GOOD INFO I LEARNED ABOUT BRINGING THE NO.1 PISTON TO TDC AND LINING UP THE THE NO.1 ON THE DISTRIBUTOR IS THIS ALL THAT I SHOULD DO AND IF DONE CORRECTLY SHOULD THIS WORK,THANK U DARRYL

where is the oil pen located on the car so i can make all the oil come out from the bottom. so i can change it.

the dash lights flicker a little. could this be a ground problem? how can i fix it my car is a 1987 year

My car has only 140,000 miles. If engine is leaking, is it wise to use stop leak additives? Do they work? What questions should I ask to ensure that it is in fact an Engine Leak and not gasket, etc.

Every time i stop anywhere the light will come on for the oil light even though its all full
