The rear view mirror has appeared hazy and scratched for at least the past year or two. I assumed it was dusty or my car wash was not cleaning it properly. I just found that this is a common problem with my model and year car. I asked the dealer about replacement cost and they said it was about $1000. If this is a common problem with that particular model and year, I would think Lexus should replace it as a warranty recall item and not have their customers pay for their obvious shortcomings.
Yup! Black streaks. Need a cheap way to
Currently not fixed. Looking for a replacement.

Yep, same thing. Looking at Gentex with compass for about $225. Dealer wants $1100!

The bottom third of my rear view mirror has streaks that appear in a box-like pattern, and the top two-thirds of the mirror has spots. It has been like this for about 5 years. I will ask my local dealer to replace it for free, but I'm sure they won't. If you look at the IS250 complaints, there are 80+ complaints about this problem on that version of the car too. (I accidentally posted my complaint there, but meant to post it here.) This is the 3rd Lexus I've owned, and it's been a lemon. I bought it "certified pre-owned" from the dealer. Very disappointing. I'm still waiting on the dashboard and door panel recall. Summer in Texas makes my car a sticky mess. I'm disappointed Lexus hasn't recalled the mirror. Shame on you Lexus!
Mirror seemed like at first it had dust in it but got much worse. Black spots cover 80% of mirror now.
My rear view mirror developed streaks and discolored. was replaced with new mirror. No problem with new mirror.
Inside rear view is very cloudy. I have been driving it like this for 1.5 years, not realizing it was a more common issue. I will have it replaced tomorrow during my oil maintenence.
