began habving issues shifting in andout of lower gears, at lower rpm's. lurching hesitating

U started notice a problem that if you drive for a certain amount of time at the same speed, my rpms start to jump around like 500rpm up then back to normal, but putting into cvt mode, it goes up the 500rpm. I was told i might need a new tranny, is that true?
