some days i can go 50 mile and it get hot and then the next day i can go 3 miles and it gets hot. and sometime i can go weeks and it don't get hot

Brought my car in to the dealer for timing belt replacement and some other work. Was told I had a power steering rack leak - estimated cost of repair $1298.00. Was told didn't need to do it at that time. Would like to know how I can tell I have a problem (I don't notice difference in steering), when I need to fix, and a reasonable cost. Seems all Subaru repairs are a little pricy regardless of at dealer or not.

Reading the best thing to do is pull the motor, cut the head off the bolts. Then remove the head, weld nuts on. Use heat and penetrating oil. Years ago used to do some VW motors. They had a similiar problem, they sold Elephant studs. Does Subaru do something similar? What does one do if you have to strip the block to get them out? Seems all of my head bolts are this way.

I just had both replaced 14,000 miles ago, now the water pump is leaking. Also leaking out of 1 head. Never overheated. Should I use all Subaru parts to replace water pump and head gaskets, etc.?What about new head bolts?

missing on calender 1 and tack off is vary slow

it misses all the time and it has a ruff idl.

Automatic trans - no aftermarket parts no turbo - During normal and/or hard acceleration @ around 2500rpm and not during a transmission shift change a noise that sounds life 2 short bursts of air pfft pfft happen and cannot duplicate when in park or neutral.

I recently had a clicking noise when I turned the steering wheel. I replaced the front axle and thought that would take care of the noise. However it did not and it sounds as though it is actually coming from the back. it doesn't matter which way I turn the wheel. It is more persistent when I have driven it for a while. Any ideas

I was charged $389.00 for a set of "head bolts".
Is this right!?
I just inspected the repair and see no new bolts anywhere.
Had it done at Midas and was charged $3,086.00
Please advise.

If the timing belt breaks on this model is there an interference problem? I have been given the cost of replacing the belts to be $650, is this reasonable?

My baja has a coolant leak. What does a coolant system test cost? Will it definitely locate the leak. The coolant ultimately leaks from behind the from wheels in approximately the location of the skid plate. It doesn't appear to be from the radiator or its hoses. Could it be from the reservoir? Help

My car has an aftermarket exhaust system. I am told that the computer says that it is not ready for testing because I only have one catalytic converter instead of the two that came stock. Do I need the two in order to pass a PA emissions test, or is there something else wrong with the car?
