Loss of Power Steering Due to Leaking Steering Rack on Mercedes-Benz ML500

It is not uncommon for the power steering rack to develop a fluid leak requiring replacement of the rack assembly. Loss of power steering fluid may also cause an abnormal noise and damage to the power steering pump.

Lost power steering and have a loud noise. Looking for a repair shop still.

Steering rake replaced when the warranty was expired 2 mounts. I ask the dealership to check for any oil leaks before the warranty expired. On the work order it says no leaks and I show them work order. Rake steering was about $4000 and they said that they will give me part for free but I need to pay the labor and that was $700
Steering rake replaced with only 50,000 miles on it I'm original owner.
vehicle has lost 85-90 percent of hydraulic assisting power.
Not sure yet where the leak was found as my vehicle is STILL at the dealership! I have had to replace the power steering pump, reservoir, belt, pulleys, rack and pinion...so far! GEEZZZ!!!!
