Problem Description and Possible Solution
The speedometer or other instrument panel gauge may begin to work erratically at times. Our technicians tell us that the instrument cluster must be sent to a repair facility to correct this fault.

I have a 2004 Monte Carlo SS. Around 80,000 all my gauges started to act erratically. Also my seat belt and airbag light would come on. In the message center the battery icon light would come on. All this would happen at different speeds while driving. I do not know what the problem is. I would appreciate any good leads on how to fix this problem.
speedometer in a stopped position stars out at 25mph or higher as high as 80mph. when driving 35mph will register as 70 or 80mph. didn't get fixed. any suggestions an what's wrong?
The car was used and already had a broken gas gauge. When first starting the car, the gauge will read correctly, but during driving or starting again shortly after driving, it's at random points.
Instrument panel light went out first, then the gauges started to not function properly. Speedometer is the only gauge working properly, Temp gauge would go off the chart when in fact it was running at normal temp. Had a mechanic check out the wiring cluster and he found there was a short, he moved one of the lines next to the air handler and the gauges worked normally for a short time. Very frustrating, as many of the complaints that I have seen on this condition that Chevy wouldn't do a recall on them..
My speed odometer stops working in the middle of traveling is slower than actually driving, my other meters are just pointing down has been going on for awhile now
Rpm gauge, gas gauge, temp gauge, speedometer all dont work. Also traction mode is off and wont come back on and break light is on. Airbag light is on, battery light is on, service engine soon light is on and so is battery light and service traction system
speedometer, tack, and oil pressure gauge are registering erratically.
Tachometer stopped working, Fuel guage stopped working, Speedometer works erratically
My gauges would go crazy, then work, then go crazy and finally they all quit. I was told it was my cluster and since I have a dale jr signature series it would be 600 dollars to fix it. I have called chevy several times abut this and they have told me no one else has complained so they can't do a recall because there isn't enough of them messing up. However after reading all these I believe they should definitely look into it a little closer.
speedometer works erratically, usually slower than actual speed but faster. volt gauge not working at all.
My check engine light code says my coolant sensor but it's new and hooked up correctly. Coolant is also filled in it. I'm stressing, help! !!! My baby need me
new instr. panel installed !
Started with oil pressure gauge pinning, then voltmeter, then gas gauge. Speedometer only quit once, works accurately now. Half the time the smaller gauges work fine, but I use info center to monitor gas amount!
Not sure what to do. Headlights went off the other night while driving, now there is something draining the battety.
Temp gauge, gas gauge, tach and temp gauge only operate correctly occasionally. Never seem to show accurate readings.
The gas gauge is inaccurate as the car accelerated the gas gauge goes up as well
The instrument cluster started acting up and now doesn't work at all. thankfully the fuel light comes on when low so I know when to gas up...
while driving on the road the instrument cluster will shut off and the battery gauge, airbags, seat belt, and brake light goes on and off
I have to turn the key to reset all my gauges back and forth to reset with out starting
My whole cluster gauge is messed up. Sometimes it'll all look fine; fuel gauge, speedometer, temperature, and oil level. Other times one or all gauges will be completely incorrect. Speedometer can be +/- 30mph or +/- 5mph, or will read only 0mph when going 60mph.. The fuel gauge often flips upside down along with the other gauges... Shouldn't have to it to fix this!
