Rust and/or Corrosion May Develop on the Quarter Panel on Dodge Sprinter 3500

Rust and/or corrosion may develop on the quarter panel above the tail lamp assembly due a void between the tail lamp and the body. Our technicians tell us the repair involves removing the rust and applying sealant to fill the void.

problem details
2008 Dodge Sprinter 3500 40,000 mi,
My body shop said to replace the cargo door where most of the rust is located. The rear door and wheel wells will be repaired and the entire truck must be repainted. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A DODGE PRODUCT AGAIN. Purchased Brand new and the rust bubbles started around 40,000 miles. Total disappointment. Too bad our tax dollars went to bail out the Dodge company from going bankrupt.
