Transmission was slipping (high REMS, minimal power, spewing hot fluid which smoked on contact with engine). Initially, we had all the hoses checked, transmission fluid checked, drove adequately (but w less pick up) for a week, then same thing happened, check engine light came on, they ran the diagnostics, the transmission was toast, offered 2500 for trade in, or pay 5100 for repair.
Honda odyssey 2004 , 200k , when cold engine, can be driven just fine for 1-2 miles, then just stops, no forward or reverse, nothing, engine runs fine. let it set till cold , same thing again. whats the problem?
[Miles=178K,2015]: Replace bad transmission with re-manufactured transmission costing approx $2,500.
