The right front seat belt lower bracket may fail in the event of a severe crash. If the bracket were to fail, the passenger would not be properly restrained, increasing the risk of personal injury. Dealers will replace the right front seat belt and lower bracket to correct this concern. The recall is expected to begin on March 17, 2008. The Mitsubishi recall number is SR-08-001.
This should be considered a high priority recall. The seat belt bracket could fail without warning. Please contact your Mitsubishi dealer.
