Within 2 years all 4 window regulators broke down...this should be a recall item...try driving 100 miles in a snow storm with the window down, just to get home. Regulators "Made in Mexico".

Back passenger window dropped a few inches but corresponding power button wouldnt put window up. Then window just dropped into door. Took it for repair and was told that the little plastic piece was broken off by the wire being by it. Paid $300 for repair. One week later the driver's window dropped into door when I pushed power button to put window down. Had to drive 1 1/2 hours in 20 degree weather. After reading about this being a common problem, the repair man said the tracks are made cheaply, I feel this should be a recall item.I am going to contact Cadillac.

Had to replace the track of plastic that held window up. It cost about $100.00 for one window. This I didn/t like. My friend has a 2002 Cadillac Deville and she has had t replace all four of them and one twice.

Rear passenger window then the from passenger window all with in 3 months apart. Very costly to fix, I just bought the window tool. Please wish me luck. Although my father was a master machanic in his time, I do the computer repair and NOT car repair, with the price of fixing I have to give it a try. I pray I don't make things worse. I agree this should be an recall. My warrenty out too. :-(

I've replaced three so far one in the drivers door and two in the rear passenger door. Save some money they will fail when you least expected. Do NOT use the dealer for repairs. A window glass place is the best.

Rear drivers side door window fell into door after closing door.
Disassembled door, found plastic over-molded part that holds the "nut" on the regulator drive cable had failed. Made custom bracket to hold nut from scrap 1/8" steel and installed with a cotter pin. Regulator functions well and is the quietest one in the car. Total repair cost $0. Total repair time ~3 hours including making the bracket.Flag ThisLike0 -
