PCM/TCM Software Updates May Address Shifting Problems on Dodge Magnum

If you experience rough shift and/or shuddering during gear shifting, software updates to the powertrain control and transmission control modules (PCM and TCM) are available which may address these problems. On higher mileage vehicles, a mechanical failure may exhibit similar symptoms. Proper diagnoses should be performed before any repairs or software upgrades are attempted.

Shifted extremely hard while turning a corner going about 20 mph. After that, started shifting hard in 2nd and 4th gear. Afterwards when backing out from somewhere, i had to step on it to make it go. It didnt want to go when put in reverse.. Had it checked out, they said something had broke in the tranny. Got a new tranny and had them put it in.. Never once did it send a code.
