Cadillac Eldorado Problem Report
Cadillac Eldorado Oil Leak From Lower Engine Area
The engine may develop an oil leak from the lower crankcase portion of the engine block. Our technicians tell us that the engine must be removed from the vehicle to properly repair this oil leak.
Just brought this to my mechanic to check out after purchase. He found oil leak and said he wouldnt touch it and to just add oil as needed. Said he would have advised me never to purchase . Oh, well:( - Visitor

On 5/23/14, I purchased from its owner, a 2001 Cadillac Eldorado ESC. I am having problems with the trunk. The trunk will not open with either the keyless remote or the button inside the car. When it was opening with these two methods a day or two ago, it would not always close. I can open the trunk with the key but I have a hard time getting it to close/latch completely. I tried 5 times yesterday to get the trunk to latch shut. I now have a car whose trunk I am afraid to use. - Visitor
