Oil Leak From Turbo Return Pipe Seal on Volvo S70

The turbocharger return pipe seal may develop an oil leak. The leak can begin very small, but will eventually progress into a large leak. Our technicians recommend having this repaired at first signs of leakage.

1999 Volvo S70- 2.4L 5 Cylinder Turbo210,000
Started smoking (bluish/white) after warm, but only at idle. No smoke above 1000RPM. Dealer said I needed a new turbo. $1,800 later, no smoke. I wish I understood why the car had to be warmed up, and it only smoked at idle RPM.
