Engine light so brought 2003 Nissan Altima to Goodyear. Fuel tank leak tested, ECU codes scanned, and ultimately found that fuel pump assembly needed replacement. Would this likely be elijable for cost reimbursement?

My 2005 Altima three months (10/25/15) ago began having issues starting. Over the last month it became hard to start and finally on 1/25/16 morning it would not longer start at all. I had AAA tow my car to my local mechanic in Simi Valley,Ca. it was diagnosed as a premature fuel pump failure. The mechanic shopped around for a replacement only to find that Nissan makes a California version that the Dealer only carries. The standard version is roughly $150-$299 The dealer charged us $470.00 for the California fuel pump. Wow I got taken badly, this is a 2005 Nissan Altima not a BMW,Mercedes or Lexus. Then a friend informed me of the Nissan Altima fuel pump recall. Come to discover my 2005 vehicle is part of that recall. I went back to the dealer for help they gave me the runaround Please help me find a way recoupe my expenses.
