Hello, I have a 2003 Mini S and it's a six speed. When I push in the clutch I hear a slight whinning noise. Once I drove for about a mile it quit. What could this be a sign of? I have 130,000 miles on the car. January I put it in the shop for a total engine rebuild and front struts to the tune of 5604.00. Any ideas?

when i put on the break it also will jerk to the right.

It then came back on, then went off, and the car died and would not start again. I have checked all the fuses under the hood, and the drivers side as well. All other electrical seems to work, battery is good. All the fuses were fine. Now what can I check?

I purchased it about 7 months ago at auction with the broken transmission, with the intent to fix and use as a commuter for i need to know the cost replaceing the cooper transmission

just bought a used mini cooper s.before purchasing I read all of the most common issues with them, one being power steering pump failure. After driving a while and returning home, the fan stayed on for about 3 minutes. Now this is my wife telling me so I don't know which fan it was.Is it normal, like some vehicles fan will come on after vehicle is off for additional cooling,or should there never be key off fan operation?I am a ford tech, and am used to things like relays sticking or pcms failing.

what sort of service should I have performed on my car with 80000 miles? No major problems but would like to stay ahead of the game. My car has a manual transmission

Have a misfire on my number 2 cyl. Wondering what that could be besides the wires or perhaps the injectors?

Had the accessory belt changed prior to R&R I had great after installation no ac. Shop told me they couldn't cause problem I need either a new compressor or condenser or evaporator

I have been taking our cars to the same mechanic for about 17 yrs. My AC stopped working and they say the compressor needs replaced. They did say they would also replace the AC drier as well. The estimate for parts and labor is $1900. Does this seem reasonable or should I go somewhere else for a second opinion?
