Im new here.Timing belt broke and bent all the valves in the head on my mothers 04 kia optima 2.4 auto.No problem because im a mechanic by trade.Removed head and had all new valves installed and had head shaved.Installed head and all new timing components.Engine light came on for a TPS code so I replaced with a TPS from Napa.Problem Im having as of last night(10/02/2015)is when AC is is turned on it has no power until about half throttle.Ive read a lot of articles about having to remove ecu fuse and disconnect battery--i tried that and it fixes nothing.I also read that it has to be taken to Kia to be programmed.This 1 has got me stumped because check engine light is off and no codes are present.Ive cleaned the maf sensor,throttle body and replaced gasket,cleaned IAC as well.Im leaning towards the non Kia TPS being the problem but not sure if the IAC is the problem because car runs perfect until AC is turned on. any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks

I have a 2004 Kia Optima. It will crank up but will not stay cranked for more than 15 seconds. I had to have my car towed to a repair shop. They ran test & said that the Security Mechanism on the car was preventing the car from staying crank & I would have to take it to the dealership because they were the only ones who could unlock the security system. CAN YOU HELP ME?

Ever since my stepdad tried to work on my system and messed with the fuses, my trunk light will not go off while my car is on. does anyone know what could be the problem?

at first it was the alternator and i fixed it. it did run but then it died on me, and now when i try it makes a weird sound and i dont know what it is please help

my car had both front and back rotors and brakes replaced 8 months ago. The back rotors and brakes are good. A month ago the car went back to vibrating when I apply the brake to come to a stop. I was told by an mechanic this problem is due to a bad drum located behind the drivers side wheel which is causing my rotors and brakes to wear out. If the drum is not replaced when the rotors and brakes are replaced there, this will always ruin the rotors and brakes. Is this accurate? Thank you! A women's Q&A

It only happens when it's hot. It never does this in the winter, fall, early spring or wet weather. Can I just put some type of "packing grease" that won't heat up? Any help would be appreciated.

Key will not unlock door inside or out.trying not having to take off panel

The asshole county didn't take very good care of my road. I hit a sink hole and was stuck in a foot of mud. Pulled car out started driving down road when there was a lose of power like it wasn't getting fuel.so I gave it more gas engine let out a gasp and stalled. Now it wont shift out of park and only clicks when you turn over key. Replaced battery and starter. WTF is wrong with this peice of %&*#!!!!!

I just installed a new clutch disk, pressure plate and throw out bearing and the clutch pedal is stiff and can not be pushed. I checked the arm coming out of the tranny that holds the throw out bearing and it cannot be moved. could something be bound up inside the transmission like one of those new clutch parts. Do I need to disassemble the whole thing again and look for the problem or is there an other course of action.

Door actuator makes a buzz-noise when locked or unlocked. Now the driver door does not lock automatically, and key fob will not work the locks.

i pulled the fuel line off the fuel rail and little fuel came out
it has a in tank fuel filter and pump set up

The rpm needle when slowing down or turning gets very close to zero and then car turns off. The rpm needle when car is in park bounces between 1to 0 without car turning off. When car is in park and I press on gas pedal and have RPM needle reach 3 and let go of gas pedal the needle gets stuck on 2.5 RPM. Check engine light is not on. Found air hose that was suppose to be connected to air cleaner housing was loose and disconnected. I reconnected it and tighten it, but problem still continues.

The air conditioning unit is locking up and makes a horrible noise. It is also starting to smoke and smell god awful.

In park or driving I notice that of a split second my car shakes and makes this low growl noise and the headlight dim. The shake feels as if the engine wants to die or stall out. Its never died and it always starts. I had auto zone check battery and alternator- no error codes . no warning lights on. Just had a oil change and the serpentine belt and tensioner pulley replace by a low budget auto shop that will never work on my car again.
