Intermittent No Cranking of Starter on Saab 9-5

non star is power but no crank,
95,000 Wants to crank, sounds like it is going to turn over,will not. New battery, Alternator good, Starter check out good. Leave it sitting for a while or over night sometimes it will decide to crank sometimes not. Will not allow me to move the gear sift out of reverse like it is stuck.
