Oldsmobile 88 Engine Oil Leak From Intake Manifold Gasket

The intake manifold gasket can develop external engine oil leaks. The intake manifold will need to be removed and the gaskets replaced to correct this issue.

Intake elbow was leaking. It was fixed and the problem was solved. -
Car was leaking oil and coolant, the intake manifold, gaskets and pc valve were replaced...cost me $350. -
I was losing antifreeze. Would fill overflow up then within one day the overflow would be empty. Shop reported losing antifreeze at manifold. Also replaced at the gaskets - Repair cost was right at $800 and solved my problem. Parts were $340 labor $470. -
Same thing happened to me. The mechanic said something about it a while ago, but said it wasn't a big problem. More recently he said I needed to get it fixed. He replaced the gasket and now I am good to go. Cost me about $325 bucks. -
Engine shut down and wouldn't start,antifreeze overflow emptied. Cylinders flooded with coolant. Do not try to start have car towed. Replaced plastic intake manifold (hole burned through) and gasket,oil and oil. filter. ,fuel filter, plugs. $800. -
Same problem. Dont know what to do yet. -
