I had the same issue where the key was stuck and I could not get the car out of park. They were able to repair the wires in the shifter for about $275. Had they not been able to repair them, it would have cost me $1,000 for a brand new set of wires. I am now having an issue where I can't push in the shifter knob to get it out of park. Back to the shop I go.
Key is stuck in ignition cylinder. When shifted into park, doors will unlock but the shifter button will not retract and hit my fingers.. not only that but the DIC warning displays engine hot ac off the chk eng light is on and my temp instrument is at cold at all times.
