Engine Misfire Due to Failed Ignition Coil, Spark Plug, or Ignition Wire on Volkswagen Golf

An ignition coil or spark plug may fail unexpectedly resulting in an engine misfire and possible illumination of the Check Engine Light. Vehicles equipped with spark plug wires may also develop a misfire caused by a failed spark plug wire.

Again VW dealer was no help... Independant VW repair (Bristol Motorworks) took logical approach by replacing plugs followed by cyl 3 wire which fixed the problem... code read issue with cyl 3... dealer wanted to do FI cleaning followed by diagnostics...
