Heater Blower Motor May Become Noisy on Mercedes-Benz ML350

The heater blower motor can become abnormally noisy. Replacement of the blower motor is commonly necessary to correct this concern.

When I turn on the fan to blow air while the AC is on, it makes a horribly loud sound an continues until I turn it off. Loud enough that at an intersection, people will turn there head to look and see what the loud noise is!
Too many other problems to worry about this, but at lower speeds it seems to be striking/ hitting something as it turns.
