The cup holder's clip is supposed to be spring loaded. It's not any more. I haven't gotten it fixed yet. This happened about 6 to 8 years ago.
Cup holder fell apart.
Cup holder part with spring broke. Also hatch that holds console cover down over cup holder quit working unless shut with force. Soon plastic piece after piece broke where holder no longer went down and up as original. Finally took out of console and now looking for replacement. Car now has nearly 300,000 miles and drives like new. Love it.
