Driving and just went over a bump, all of my lights came on at once, like I knocked somthing loose and my car died instantly and would not start again. About 45 minutes later, it started to turn over but NOT start. Then about an Hour later (b4 tow truck got there) It would then STart, but stall. Went in to Mercedes and they first replaced the Catalytic Converter....but still the SAME issue...they then figured it out to be the Crank Shaft Sensor.......!! But TRIED to charge me for the Converter which was over 2 GRAND. The Sensor was only $350.00!!! Watch what they tell you and Do to your car this is the SECOND time this Dealer has Done this to me and I reported them to Corporate and they HAD to Rectify the issue!! And they SHOULD!
Engine died suddenly, no misfire or other warning. Independent MB repair shop diagnosed and replaced sensor
Total cost $347.00. The sensor sells online at Autohasz for $51.00
