It dies out while on freeway and sometimes at stop signs

I was coming back from Stanley north Dakota and we stopped for the bathroom and went to start truck and heard a squell and didn't think anything bout it started driving and had no steering the battery little came on and the engine was real hot finally just stopped looked and belt was shreeded checked pullys and all but 1 turned by hand I think the tensiure pully might be bad

I poened it (slide back style) and now it will not fully close again -- reaches about half an inch from closed and stops, won't pop back up to flush with the roof. I don't see anything blocking, and have heard this isn't uncommon for GM trucks in this era.

Can someone offer diagnosis / correction advice please?

window does not go down - only up.

When the truck is warmed up and the weather is HOT outside, it seems to load up with fuel. it pops and "backfires" when accelrating until it "cleans itself up" then will run fine until idling again then it starts all over again. NOW when the weather is a little cooler outside it doesnt seem to do it as much. I was told I should take a look at the Fuel pressure regulator. Does this sound like it may be the problem?? and if so, is there any way to check it??

all fuses have been checked and replaced including relays there is gas coming through could this mean its not gettin spark and if so how do i check

I have a leak at the transmission. I need to replace a front transmission seal. Can you tell me what is the estimated cost to replace the front transmission seal.

My engine misses when it idle and when I drive it.So I tried changing the spark plus ,spark plug wires and the number 7 ignition coil still give me reading on number 7 cylinder when i check it with the diagnostic tool so I swap the coil 1 around with 7 and still get a reading it number 7

Hi I have avalanche 2002 2500 8.1 ... the auto transmission when change from gear to gear( from 3 gear to 4 gear ) i hear strong hit ( click ) ... what is the problem ?? Thanks

The dashlights goes out at different times and you have to tap on the dash to get them to come back on. also the heat and air sometimes has to be put on 3 before you can feel anything.

i asked a question earlier about this being a possible problem with the fan speed switch. in the defroster or vent mode very little air flow on high. when turned to bi-level and recirrculating you hear and can feel more air flow. since this problem started the was times it would kick up and run a few minutes and go back down. after doing research and trouble shooting could this be an air flow problem with the door actuator. if so how easy is it to rememdy the problem??

while in the heater/defroster setting my fan does not go to high speed. at times in may kick in for a few moments then goes back down, what is possible problem? the fan switch or what?
