Check Engine LightRrough Idle Due to Stuck Open EGR Valve on GMC Jimmy

The EGR valve may stick open causing a rough idle and the Check Engine Light light to illuminate. Our technicians tell us that a piece of carbon may become stuck in the valve causing this problem. Cleaning the valve will usually correct this condition, in some rare cases the valve will need to be replaced.

My egr valve clogs up every year. Clean it out with carb spray till it moves freely. Just did it tonight. It wasnt opening/closing freely so sprayed/ cleaned it. Unfortunately, even though it was stuck open & needed to be cleaned, truck cranks but still wont turn over. Now trying to fig out what else it could be.
