Whenever I get gas, I tighten it to about 5-6 clicks, the check engine light comes on. I have had this checked and its my gas cap. I need to get another one to see if this stops the light from coming on. I can't get my vehicle inspected with this light on. But I am sure getting a new cap will fix this problem.
Was I embarrassed!!!! Check engine lite came on and I panicked thinking something major had gone wrong. Made appointment at dealer to fix my problem. They took it into service and 2 minutes later they delivered it back to me. I didn't tighten the gas cap enough which caused the lite to go on. I wanted to crawl under a rock but grateful lite meant no problems.
