Chevrolet Corvette Check Engine Light Due to Gas Cap Issue

Illumination of the Check Engine Light may be the result of a loose or worn gas cap.

I've had the gas cap replaced twice in 24 months ... and it's still difficult to ensure that it's properly closed. -
Replaced the gas cap at 5000 miles because it keep loosening between fill ups and the check engine light comes on. Now I am having the same problem at 12000 miles. -
I have replace the gas cap 4 times and now I will need to again -
Check engine light keeps coming on for loose gas cap -
Smell gas, worn cap! -
Replaced gas cap -
Had Dealer replace gas cap, but doesnt seem too secure. I hope Chevy can come up with a more secure gas cap. -
