Undo the locking nut on the threads of the brake light switch and back out the old switch. Put the jam nut on the threads of the new switch and screw in the new switch into the brake light switch bracket, Ensure the brake light switch is properly adjusted or the brake lights will stay on or worse the brakes will drag. I had one customer fit a brake light switch and it warped the rotors because the brakes were dragging.
