Mercedes-Benz CLK55 AMG Brake Light Switch Failure May Cause ESP/BAS Warning Lights

The ESP and BAS warning lights may illuminate due to a failed brake light switch. Replacement of the failed switch should correct this concern.

i am having the same issue. everything comes out with no malfunction until i step on the brake then esp and bas comes on. it goes away when i turn off the car. -
ABS and BAS lights on constantly, car stuck in park due to failed brake light switch. $22 for part at dealer. -
oops, answered with wrong reply last time. Brake light switch came on usually after heavy moisture. Replaced but still comes on from time to time. -
Got BAS and ESP lights after brake was depressed after initial start up. Would extinguish only temporarily when car was turned off and turned back on however caution lights immediately return once brake pedal is depressed. -
