i did a head gasket , the water pump , them , and it still over heats .... wat could it be ????

my antifreeze is coming out my exhaust...

I own a 1986 BMW 524td turbo diesel that needs a head gaskt. The local machine shop said that the head has a .010 warp. I am not a fan of machined heads. Can I use a three notch head gaskt instead of the stock two notch thinking that the thicker gskt will absorb the warp? I am a 1950's motor head and remember spray painting a new head gaskt before installing it because of the same problem. Will this trick work here? I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks, LR.

i have a 1989 BMW 525I AND need to repair th rubber boot & filter that go to th intake and need step by step directions.

My front driver side door will not open. I've tried the emergency lift technique,but it will only work on passenger side. I plan to get it fixed, but dont wish to spend the cash right now,is there any way to disengage the lock(keep in mind door is closed), I removed the inside panel, but need a manual solution to get the door open, not trying to fix it at this point, just want to get in and out of my car without climbing over the shifter and ebrake every day! help!

My problem is on a 1985 bmw 528e auto trans the kick down cable came of off the cam in the trans i need to know if it hooks to the cam streight in or wraps around the cam then hooks in.Thanks for your time.

I recently was given a 1985 BMW 528e. I have been changing things cause it had been sitting for a year. I think all is changed that needed to be changed. But when I go to turn the engine over to try and start it I dont hear the fuel pump come on. I tested the fuel pump to see if it was working by connecting a jumper in the fuse compartment to the fuel pump fuse. It starts spewing gas out. But when I try it when I turn the engine over with the key no gas comes out of the fuel rail. Also how do I check to see if the darn thing is getting a spark. I pulled the #1 plug wire off the spark plug and held it close to the block to see if it had spark. But nothing happened when I cranked the engine over. This problem has really got me stumped.What are possibilities that I can check to possibly get this car running. Some body please help me

Recently replaced battery. Was running fine with no problems. Went to start and it turned over fine as if it would start but hasn't started since. The inspection shows oil press sensor and the oil has been checked and oil was at full. Not sure that this is the cause of the no start but ???

I was working on drivers side door and now all windows and moon roof don't work .I checked fuse and all are good .. what could have happened ?

car turns over but will not start. Acts like its getting too much fuel. What part/sensor controls fuel flow?

My car had a hard time starting and has gotten progressively worse. it would die at idle or at a stop sign. Sometimes it would turn over and eventually start and other times it would take a while and drain the battery and need a charge or jump. yesterday it took 20 minutes with a jump before it started. today i couldnt get it to start it just kept turning and turning and would not start. I tested the fuel line and it did spit gas into a cup. I also tightened a loose throttle cable.

waterpump not working ,i need to no how to change it.
